AT HOME IN MONTMARTRE -SEPTEMBER 14 - 21, 2008

Come with me to Montmartre! We’ll cook sumptuous meals together with wonderful ingredients fresh from our own neighborhood markets. Six of us will work side-by-side exploring seasonal ingredients (some unavailable here), and taste delicious wines, the kind the French love so much that we seldom see them at home.

Our food lovers sightseeing visits will include Poilane bakery, a cheese shop cave and Dehilerin, the legendary culinary equipment store. If you have a few euros left at the end of the week, you are sure to make a fabulous find at the Marche aux Puces flea market on Saturday afternoon.

We will start the week with a private walking tour of Montmartre which will reveal how important this quartier has always been to life in Paris. Where else can you find such diverse landmarks as the city’s oldest standing church, the risque Moulin Rouge and Picasso’s studio within minutes of one another? Let my kitchen become your atelier for an exciting week of culinary and cultural discovery.
