Dear Friends:
I’m happy to report that Chez Madelaine is alive and well! (Our plans to downsize are presently stalled for reasons that need no explanation.) With the prospect of a long Chicago winter, I’m going to keep warm and busy in my kitchen in Hinsdale by offering a full 2010 schedule of cooking workshops. If that sounds good to you, sign up online and join us.
Coming up are no less than two basic technique series (cooking and baking) and several classes students have asked for (side-dishes, chocolate, no-knead bread). Special feature: party menus to chase away the winter doldrums. There’s a Mardi Gras celebration, a carry-out Cassoulet class, an intimate Paris Bistro menu of traditional dishes and an Easter menu straight out of Mastering the Art of French Cooking.
A special bonus; two holiday gifts. First, if you enroll with a new student for 2010, he (or she) pays just half-price, or $45. (If you want to make this a formal holiday gift, I’ll be happy to provide a card.)
Next, for a limited time, you can take a $250 discount for any of the ChezM trip to Paris. Call it the “ChezM Club” (or “Frequent Fryers”)?, If you’ve ever taken a class at Chez Madelaine, you qualify. That drops the trip price to only $1745 for double occupancy and $1995 for single occupancy. Class listings, trip details and reservation forms are, of course, just a click two away.
Happy Holidays! I hope to see you in the coming season and in Paris next year
